With the 2023 football season in full swing, there are many options in Boston to go out, enjoy some food and beverages and cheer for the Patriots along with other fans each week. However, Boston is home to many national and international NFL fans who come to the city for school or for the many job opportunities offered and with them comes allegiances to teams other than New England. Sure, DirecTV has the NFL package to get all the out-of-network NFL games and there are plenty of locations that offer this option, and if you get there early enough and the location is friendly, you can get set up with the game of your choosing. But then a bad call happens, or a blown defensive play and all you can do is mumble to yourself. Better yet, there is an incredible catch on third-down or a game-winning field goal, but there is no around around to celebrate with or even just get a congratulatory high-five. Luckily for the transplants, there are a lot of fan groups in Boston who gather at local establishments to cheer on their team together and also share in a little taste of home.
Working in real estate in Boston, we often work with clients who have relocated for work and who support their hometown teams and look for local establishments that cater to their team. Depending on how well they are represented in Boston, a local establishment will play host to an out-of-town team’s fan-base and will have the game on most TVs, with the volume on and even offer a menu specialized to the regional tastes the team represents.
